Craft, Community, and Circular Innovation: Meet Allkin
The story begins in 2019, when the team behind Allkin launched Good Things Brewing, the UK’s most sustainable brewery. Their mission was clear: to create exceptional craft beverages while rethinking every aspect of production — from energy to waste — with sustainability at the core. Their beer won awards. Their process turned heads. But just as their vision was taking off, disaster struck.
In July 2021, their entire brewery was destroyed by a lightning strike. Everything was lost. But then something incredible happened: their community stepped in. Without hesitation, over 250 local investors raised £1.1 million, determined to help rebuild what the fire had taken away.
They didn’t just rebuild what was lost — they created Allkin: a new chapter, born from purpose, powered by people, and designed to inspire.
Allkin’s Circular Model
Allkin is far more than a drinks brand. It’s a regenerative, circular system built across three pillars: brewing, roasting, and baking. Everything feeds into the next, powered entirely by solar, wind, water, and biogas systems built on-site at their new Oakridge home on the Kent-Sussex border.
- Spent grain becomes flour for fresh bread and pastries.
- Excess heat is captured and used to warm the bakery and roastery.
- Organic waste is transformed into clean biogas energy, powering the entire cycle.
- Even the delivery vans run on surplus energy.
This is sustainability not just as a promise, but as a blueprint — engineered from the ground up, tested, proven, and shared with the community through apprenticeships, open workshops, and education programs.
A Place to Belong
Opening in summer 2025, Oakridge will be more than a production facility — it’s being designed as a space for connection, creativity, and well-being. From taproom gatherings and chef's tables to community-led projects through the Allkin Together Foundation, this is a place that brings people together in meaningful ways.
And they’re already building momentum: their flagship Tap Bar in Tunbridge Wells has become a beloved local hub — living proof of the demand for thoughtful, values-driven hospitality.
Investing in Allkin is Investing in What’s Next
Allkin has already achieved what few brands do — built deep trust, loyalty, and impact before even opening their full site. With a strong team, a growing community, and a model that puts sustainability and purpose at the center, Allkin is well-placed to scale.
What started as a rebuild has become a growing movement, and now is your opportunity to be part of it 🌱
